Chief Secretary Balochistan Mathar Niaz Rana stated that the provincial government was using all possible resources to give the best healthcare facilities and working on the completion of all the development projects for the people of Balochistan.
Chief Secretary (CS) Balochistan Mathar Niaz Rana expressed these views in a high-level meeting to review development projects in South Balochistan directed the officials concerned to promote the working on lingering projects.
The meeting was accompanied by all the secretaries, including ACS Development, Secretary of Finance. The meeting reviewed the progress in development projects in detail.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that doctors and other medical personnel should efficiently perform their duties to ensure the implementation of government orders. He ordered the Health Secretary to make a report against the doctors who were not present at their post and report to the Chief Secretary’s Office to take legal action against them.
The Chief Secretary also instructed to immediately release the budget for the supply of medicines in the hospitals within a week.
During the meeting, the District Health Officer also requested the presence of surgeons, gynecologists and other important doctors in their respective districts.
Appreciating the holding of open court by the Deputy Commissioners, the Chief Secretary said this process should be continued so that the problems of the people could be resolved. He directed the DC to play an influential role in resolving the problems of the people by maintaining coordinated relations.
The Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana also ordered concerned officials to expedite uplift projects and complete them within the given time in order to provide facilities to people from completion of the projects.
Development projects including the construction of transport and infrastructure, dams, clean water supply and better use, agriculture and livestock, IT, energy, industry and trade, workforce, education and other development projects came under discussion during the meeting.
The meeting was further briefed about projects including the construction of Gwadar International Airport, cadet colleges, power supply to different districts, health and education projects.
Chief Secretary Balochistan said the construction of roads would play an essential role in facilitating the movement of the people of the province as well as bringing agricultural commodities to the markets.
“The completion of development projects will improve the living standards of the people“, he added.
He said development projects would generate vast employment opportunities in the areas, which would also help to eliminate backwardness from areas.
Balochistan is one of the provinces with the highest prevalence of food insecurity, malnutrition and poverty in Pakistan. The population encountered various shocks, including high food prices, roads, means of communication, water supply, locust outbreaks, rains/flooding and snowfall, all increased by the influences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This process of development should be continued so that the difficulties for the people could be resolved. Chief Secretary’s order can play an influential role in resolving the problems of the people by keeping coordinated relations
