First LPG vessel under CPEC arrives at Gwadar International Terminals Limited

Al Qasim Gas(Pvt) Limited has installed LPG Terminal and handling facility at Berth # 3 at Gwadar port. The land for the project has been provided by Gwadar International Terminal Limited (GITL).
Al Qasim Gas (Pvt) Ltd has completed the installation of LPG Terminal in record time. The terminal started functioning on 07 Jan 2020 which will bring prosperity in the region and whole country up till northern areas being the first commercial project completed at Gwadar port. The people of area have thanked Al Qasim Gas (Pvt) Ltd to provide jobs opportunities to the locals of Gwadar.
Chinese Consul General at Karachi HE Li Bijian, Chairman Gwadar Port Authority Mr. Naseer Kashani, Chairman COPHC Mr. Zhang Baozhong, Commander(West) Pakistan Navy Commodore Faisal Shah, CEO Al Qasim Gas(Pvt) Ltd Mr Qasim Bashir, CEO Gwadar International Terminal Mr. Dai Xiaolong, Deputy Commisioner Gwadar Capt(R)Waseem and other high dignitaries attended this beautiful event at Gwadar Port.
The terminal was inaugurated by Chinese Counsel General in Karachi Li Bijian. It started the operations with the arrival of vessel “ Gas Esco” from Sohar Port Oman, carrying 3,900 metric tons of LPG.
Today a new era of economic development has commenced from Balochistan’s port city Gwadar as International LPG trade started Mr.Li Bijian said, while addressing the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration of terminal would start economic activities in Gwadar which would benefit the local population through creation of more jobs.
Speaking on the occasion all the speaker lauded the initiative, saying that Gwadar would become a hub of international trade in near future. They said that an international airport is being built while power plant projects have also been initiated in the port city. LPG supply from Al-Qasim LPG Terminal Gwadar port will start soon throughout the country.
